Heartbleed OpenSSL Bug Checker
See Also #
Description #
Heartbleed OpenSSL Bug Checker is a quickly created tool to check whether a network service is vulnerable to a critical bug in OpenSSL. It has been announced that OpenSSL versions 1.0.1 through 1.0.1f (inclusive) are vulnerable. This affects a great number of web servers and many other services based on OpenSSL.
Our tool simply uses an open source Hearbleed checking tool made by Filippo Valsorda, who also implemented an online checker tool for Heartbleed - http://filippo.io/Heartbleed/.
Many more details about Heartbleed can be found on a dedicated web site to this problem: heartbleed.com.
Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures ID of this problem is CVE-2014-0160.
Usage #
Simply fill in the Host / IP address field with a domain name or an IP address of the target machine, you want to check, and alter the target Port if necessary. Then click the "Check!" button to execute the check. Once the original Heartbleed checker tool finishes its work, its output is displayed and the result is highlighted.
